Die Kinderspielstadt Mini-Lenster – ein pädagogisches Großprojekt, welches vom SEA Päiperlék in Junglinster erstmalig 2009 organsiert wurde und sich seither großer Beliebtheit erfreut. Ein Projekt, das nachhaltig gewachsen ist, sich entwickelt hat und dieses Jahr 2023 in die siebte Runde geht.
Doch was ist überhaupt eine Kinderspielstadt?
Stellen Sie sich vor, Sie betreten eine Kinderspielstadt bzw. stehen in einer umgebauten Sporthalle: Bunte Holzhäuser stellen städtische Institutionen dar, 400 Kinder „arbeiten“ miteinander, vertieft in ihrer Rolle. Es fühlt sich an, wie auf einem Marktplatz, man spürt förmlich die Urbanität, alles bewegt sich, kommuniziert und interagiert miteinander.
Aus pädagogischer Sicht ist eine Kinderspielstadt in erster Linie ein besonderes und großes Spielangebot. Mini-Lënster ist eine Modellstadt, - von Erwachsenen entwickelt und organisiert – in der die Kinder Einrichtungen und Ereignisse einer Stadt wiederfinden, von denen sie im „richtigen Leben“ noch ausgeschlossen sind und die sie hier, in dem gegebenen Rahmen weitestgehend selbst aktiv gestalten und weiter entwickeln können. Bekannte Institutionen, eine große Arbeitswelt, Universität und Studium, Politik, Verwaltung, Kultur und Freizeit, all das findet man in Mini-Lënster.
Durch diese doch sehr überzeugende Spielwelt können Kinder mit ansonsten nur schwer verständlichen oder vermittelbaren Themen, wie sozialen Prozessen (z. B. Gemeinderat, Wahlen, Demokratie), aber auch wirtschaftlichen Zusammenhängen (z. B. Inflation, Arbeitslosigkeit) hautnah erste Erfahrungen machen.
Den Kindern wird so ermöglicht, die alltäglichen Lebensprozesse der Erwachsenen spielerisch zu erfahren, wobei es nicht darum geht die harte, manchmal doch brutale Welt der Erwachsenen nach zu spielen. Natürlich ist der Erwachsene Vorbild: Es wird sich an Rollenvorbildern orientiert und Berufsklischees bedient. Jedoch hat eine Kinderspielstadt eine ganz eigene Dynamik, in der Themen, wie beispielsweise soziale Gerechtigkeit eine viel größere Bedeutung haben, als in der Realität.
Die Kinder haben im Spiel die Möglichkeit, wenn auch nur für eine bestimmte Zeit, die Demokratie aktiv mitzugestalten und zu erleben, sich für eine Wahl als Politiker aufstellen zu lassen, aber auch als Bürger der Stadt, seine Stimme abzugeben.
<< Mini-Lenster>> , une ville miniature gérée par les enfants, est un projet pédagogique d’envergure, organisé par le SEA Päiperlék pour la première fois en 2009 et jouissant depuis lors d’une grande popularité. Le projet a été développé de façon durable, a évolué et arrive en 2023 à sa 7e édition.
Qu’est-ce qu’une ville miniature gérée par les enfants ?
Imaginez que vous entrez dans une mini-ville, que vous vous trouvez dans un hall sportif transformé : des maisons colorées en bois représentent les institutions municipales, 450 enfants « travaillent » ensemble, tout absorbés par leur rôle. On a l’impression de se trouver sur une place du marché, l’urbanité y est tout à fait palpable, tout bouge, communique et interagit.
D’un point de vue pédagogique, une mini-ville est tout d’abord un grand jeu extraordinaire. Mini-Lënster est une ville modèle, développée et organisée par des adultes, qui permet aux enfants de retrouver les structures et événements typiques d’une ville. Dans la « vraie vie », ils en sont encore exclus, mais dans ce cadre, ils peuvent les organiser et les développer en grande partie eux-mêmes. Des institutions connues, un vaste monde du travail, l’université et les études, la politique, l’administration, la culture et les loisirs, tout cela existe à Mini-Lënster.
En s’immergeant dans ce monde miniature pourtant réaliste, les enfants entrent en contact étroit avec des sujets sinon difficiles à comprendre ou à transmettre, tels que les processus sociaux (le conseil communal, les élections, la démocratie, etc.), mais également les relations économiques (l’inflation, le chômage, etc.). Les enfants découvrent ainsi de façon ludique la vie quotidienne des adultes. Bien qu’il ne s’agisse pas d’imiter le monde dur, parfois même brutal des adultes, il est clair que l’adulte est un modèle : les enfants s’inspirent de modèles de référence et ont recours à des stéréotypes professionnels. Cependant, une mini-ville fonctionne selon sa propre dynamique. On y accorde une plus grande importance à des sujets tels que la justice sociale que dans la vie réelle.
Le jeu offre aux enfants, même si ce n’est que pour une période limitée, la possibilité de contribuer activement à la conception de la démocratie et de se mettre à la place d’un politicien qui se présente aux élections ou d’un citoyen de la ville qui va voter.
Mini-Lenster is one oft he biggest educational projects in Luxembourg. Mini Lenster was first established by SEA Paiperlek in 2009.
Time passed by fast and we are proud to say that Mini Lenster developed into a fantastic sustainable project.
In 2023 Mini Lenster will open their doors again. This will be the 7th time where we can give our new generation the great opportunity to join this adventure.
But what exactly is Mini Lenster?
Just imagine that you explore a new city – built in a gym. In a gym?Yes! Let me explain how that works: Imagine colorful little houses made out of wood. These houses represent the normal institiutions of a real city. 400 Kids work hand in hand. All these kids are focused on their role. It doesn´t matter which role. Why? Because so many possibilitis exist. It feels like a walk through a charming city which is growing, interacting and developing more and more on every single day.
From an educational point of view, this kind of a city offers huge opportunities of activities fort he kids.
Mini Lenster is a model of a city, which is created and organised by adults.
Kids will find their places & institiutions where they have never been before in their age. They become a part of it and learn how everything is connected.
The kids will be able to make a difference with their own decisions. They will find popular Institutions, a great choice of diffrent jobs, a university, politics, administration, culture and leisure activities in Mini Lenster.
This unique diversity turns Mini Lenster from a simple place to play into a really good understandable model for `how our democracy works`. Kids can make their own experience in topics which are usually hard to explain and even more difficult to show. Topics like voting municipal elections, democracy or economy problems like inflation or unemployment.
Mini Lenster got established to give kids the chance to collect their first experience to deal with new rights but also new problems.
Mini Lenster wasn´t created to show them that the world is unfair and life is difficult. As adults we are role models. Adults represent the typical images of jobs and function as good role models fort he kids. The diffrence between a real city and Mini Lenster will be the dynamic in topics like social justice compared to the cities we know.
Mini Lenster is a big role play for kids where life, work, freetime activities, reality and fiction, politics and culture come together.
One of the main features will be the partizipation for the children´s first democracy experience.
More further they can share their own ideas, learn to use arguments or to find solutions to solve problems together.
They can cast their votes as a citizen or to run for an political position.
All in all, Mini Lenster is definitely an inspiring place to be.
